Wow. Freedom marches on.

In other news, the Oscars were on last night. Mrs. Rocha and Mrs. Peterson squabble over Laci and what’s-his-names posessions. The Micheal Jackson trial opened.

Gotta keep these things in perspective. What’s important, anyway? It’s all about American thirst for oil over there, anyway, and anyone who thinks that humans, other than western literati, long for freedom has obviously been huffing too much Fox News again.

Here’s a good one. ’45 governors from the 50 states and five U.S. territories, along with top names in U.S. industry and education’ met in DC to discuss the state of US education. Who carries the news? Yahoo! Asia.

Bill Gates tells them, “America’s high schools are obsolete,” Gates said. “By obsolete, I don’t just mean that they’re broken, flawed or underfunded, though a case could be made for every one of those points. By obsolete, I mean our high schools _ even when they’re working as designed _ cannot teach all our students what they need to know today.”

(Of course, Gates is a college drop out, so he is obviously not qualified to make these remarks.)

That’ ain’t news. Not here, anyway.

As we’ve seen, it does no one any good to question the establishment. There is to be no confronting of liberal institutions with mere facts.

We’ve met the new authorities, they’re just like the old authorities.

I think it’s high time for a female president. Can I say that here?

Dr. Rice in ’08!

I can’t even believe this is still kicking around on the Internet.

How much do you match your zodiac sign?

Do You Have a Type A Personality?

Uh, huh.

Some poor guy in Bangalore forwarded the message below the cut to at least 15,000 Red Menace employees, including all asia/pacific employees, all europe/middle east employees, and employees on seven high-volume wide-distribution technical lists.

Forty-five minutes later he sent a second message…

I am very Sorry for that forward – “[Fwd: beeeeeeeeeer]” ,It was not intentional to send it to all the distribution lists.

I sent him a thank you note.

The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and I knew we’d get into that rotten stuff pretty soon.
